More About This Recipe

  • While guacamole can never be bad, in Betty’s book, this one is extra special thanks to its chunky texture. That texture also makes it easy to throw together. Just use a fork to mash together the avocado with fresh lime juice, salt and pepper and sprinkle on the chopped onion and tomato. Fifteen minutes later, you’ve got a fresh yet satisfying dip that’ll keep everyone reaching for the bowl until there’s not a dab left. Part of what makes this chunky guacamole so addicting is its unfolding flavor. It goes from bright and fresh, thanks to the lime and cilantro, to bold and robust, thanks to the garlic and onion, to rich and satisfying, thanks to the avocado. Want to master the mystery of cutting an avocado? Check out Betty’s step-by-step instructions on how to make easy guacamole.
