1: box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® cake mix (any flavor)

: Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box

: Thin sparkler candles, 6 1/2x1/8 inch

: Pencils

1: container Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy or Whipped frosting (any flavor)

: Flat mint or rainbow candy-coating wafers, as desired

Save $$$ on your favorite brands

1 Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Make, bake and cool cake as directed on box for two 8-inch or 9-inch rounds.
2 While cake is cooling, place candles in warm water until soft and pliable; wrap each candle around pencil. Cool candles about 15 seconds; remove pencils.
3 Place 1 cake layer, rounded side down, on serving plate. Spread with about 1/3 cup frosting. Place other layer, rounded side up, on top. Frost side and top of cake with remaining frosting. Arrange candles and wafers on cake.

I let my 2 daughters (ages 10 and 13) do this recipe all on their own. It was easy and fun. They enjoyed doing the candles alot. The cake was delicious.
