Expert Tips

Make this salad up to 24 hours before serving. If needed, stir in a few drops of milk to make it creamy again.

For fewer calories, use reduced-fat or fat-free mayonnaise.

No leftover cooked chicken on hand? You can buy frozen chopped cooked chicken, canned chunk chicken or rotisserie chicken.

Nothing good comes from eating something with 56 grams of fat in one serving. No way would I consider making this recipe and serving it to anyone I know. Betty Crocker you are comtributing to the obesity problem in this country by putting these high fat recipes out there for people to feed themselves, their family, friends and coworkers. Shame on you for not offering a substantially lighter version with the fat content listed and listing the full fat versions as a side note only.

Made this first time last night, with a few changes. No pea pods, used celery. Added black olives. Both my husband and I liked it a lot. I used left over chicken not canned. Good way to use it up. Will make this again only use ranch dressing and bacon bits instead of the Suddenly Salad mix.

This is a quick, easy salad. My family won't eat those pea-pod thingies so I skip those and add thawed frozen peas. Serve a good sized scoop on a bed of lettuce, add thick sliced sourdough bread with margarine, and sliced fresg pears, and you are good to go! Quick, tasty, healty, and filling.
