Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb ground turkey breast
  • 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 jalapeño chilies, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon plum preserves
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes with Italian-style herbs, undrained
  • 1 can (19 oz) red kidney beans, drained
  • plain fat-free yogurt, if desired

Steps

    Cook turkey, onion, bell pepper, chilies and garlic in 4-quart Dutch oven over medium heat 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until turkey is no longer pink.

    Stir in remaining ingredients except yogurt. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Top each serving with yogurt.
