Ingredients

Cookie Base

  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup M&M's® red and blue candy-coated milk chocolate candies (see Tips)
  • 1/4 cup red, white, and blue candy sprinkles

Frosting & Decoration

  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • Red, white, and blue candy sprinkles

Instructions

    Heat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray.

    In a large bowl, stir sugar cookie mix, 1/2 cup softened butter, egg, and flour until a soft dough forms. Stir in candy and sprinkles. Press the dough into the pie plate.

    Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 30 minutes.

    In a medium bowl, beat powdered sugar, 1/2 cup softened butter, vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of the milk with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3 minutes or until smooth and creamy. If frosting is too thick, add the remaining 1 tablespoon milk a teaspoon at a time.

    Spread frosting over the top of the cooled cookie pie. Decorate with candy sprinkles. Cut into slices to serve. Store loosely covered in the refrigerator.
