Get the great taste of that classic sandwich favorite in a quick and flavorful pasta salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Betty Crocker™ Suddenly Salad® ranch & bacon pasta salad mix
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 3 cups finely shredded lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup bacon flavor bits or chips, if desired

    Empty Pasta mix into 3-quart saucepan 2/3 full of boiling water. Gently boil uncovered 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Drain pasta; rinse with cold water. Shake to drain well.

    Stir together Seasoning mix and mayonnaise in large bowl. Stir in pasta, lettuce and tomato until well blended. Sprinkle with bacon flavor bits. Cover and refrigerate leftovers.

    Hot pasta can continue to “cook” while draining in the colander. Rinsing hot cooked pasta with cold water stops further cooking and helps prevent texture loss.
  • tip 2
    When tomatoes are bountiful, dazzle your family with a new presentation. For each salad, cut a large tomato into 6 or 8 wedges to within 1/2 inch of the bottom. Spread the wedges, and mound the salad on top. They'll love it!
