Pizza with Veggie-Packed Sauce

Ingredients

can (13.8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated classic pizza crust
3/4
cup pizza sauce

pouch (4 oz) 100% carrot purée
2
cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
1/2
package (3.5-oz size) sliced pepperoni (25 to 30 slices)

    Heat oven to 400°F. Spray large dark or nonstick cookie sheet with cooking spray. Unroll dough on cookie sheet. Press out dough to 15x10-inch rectangle. Bake 8 minutes; remove from oven.

    In small bowl, mix pizza sauce and carrot purée. Spread evenly over partially baked crust; sprinkle with cheese. Top with pepperoni.

    Bake 6 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

Expert Tips

  • If the kids just want cheese pizza, omit the pepperoni in this recipe.
  • 100% vegetable purée can be added to your favorite pizza recipe. Just stir in 1 pouch of purée into your pizza sauce before spreading the sauce on the crust.
