Betty Crocker's Great Grilling cookbook shares a recipe! Divine drumsticks from the grill with only six ingredients. Delizioso!
Updated October 21, 2008

Ingredients

  • 4 turkey drumsticks, 2 1/2 pounds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup chunky-style spaghetti sauce
  • 2 tablespoons red wine or red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil

Steps

  • 1
Place turkey, salt and garlic in 12-inch skillet; add enough water to cover. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until turkey is tender; drain.
  • 2
Brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.
  • 3
Mix spaghetti sauce, wine and oil; brush over turkey.
  • 4
Cover and grill turkey 4 to 6 inches from medium heat 30 to 40 minutes, brushing occasionally with sauce mixture and turning after 20 minutes, until very tender and well browned. Discard any remaining sauce mixture.

  • To save time on grilling day, follow step 1 the day before, then refrigerate drumsticks until ready to grill.
  • So many brands and flavors of red spaghetti and pasta sauces are now available. Try a different one every time you make these drumsticks.
