  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 kaiser rolls, split
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 lb. thinly sliced cooked ham
  • 4 (1-oz.) slices Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup fresh alfalfa sprouts
  • 4 slices tomato

Steps

  • 1
In small bowl, combine mustard and honey; mix well. Spread mustard mixture on cut sides of rolls.
  • 2
Layer lettuce, half of the ham, cheese, sprouts, the remaining ham and tomato slices on bottom halves of rolls. Cover with top halves of rolls.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
Use your favorite cheese in place of the Cheddar cheese in these stacked sandwiches. Try colby-Monterey Jack, Gouda, provolone or Swiss cheese.
  • tip 2
To bring these sandwiches along on a picnic, wrap them in foil and pack with an ice-pack in an insulated container. Round out your picnic lunch with grapes or apples, fish-shaped crackers and brownies.
