AppleCado Smoothies

Creamy avocado and tart granny smith apples are blended together for a rich and satisfying smoothie.

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar

    Cut avocado in half; remove pit and discard. With spoon, scoop out avocado flesh from both halves. Place avocado in blender; discard peel.
  • 2
    Add remaining ingredients to blender. Cover; blend on high speed about 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into 2 glasses. Serve immediately.

  • You can peel the apple for this smoothie or leave it unpeeled—whichever you prefer.
  • If you can’t find agave nectar, you may substitute the same amount of honey.
  • Garnish the smoothies with additional apple slices, if desired.
