Bring on the winter and bring on the carbs! I love pasta. No matter what the shape of noodle, pasta is a perfect blank canvas to create an amazing dinner for your family. Taking the best of both worlds, red and white sauce, this pasta bake was a hit with my family and has been requested for a repeat appearance already!
To make this dish, stir together a jar of your favorite marinara, a jar of alfredo sauce in with a cup of mozzarella cheese in a large bowl. Add your cooked pasta (cooked to al dente) to the sauce mixture and stir to combine, making sure to coat the pasta all the way. (You’re welcome at this point to put your own spin on it by adding some meat or veggies.) Then dump this mixture in cast iron skillet (or you can use a 9 x 13 casserole dish) and bake for 20 minutes. Add another handful (or two!) of cheese to the top, bake for another five to 10 minutes and you’re done!
Gooey, cheesy and full of flavor, this pasta will be a hit with your family.
