If you don’t have a panini maker, use a grill pan or skillet on the stove to cook the grilled cheese. Make sure the pan is hot before adding the sandwich, and cook each side until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
You can substitute 1/2 teaspoon dried basil or parsley flakes for the fresh herbs.
