EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Use regular bacon, crisply cooked and chopped, in place of the peppered smoked bacon.

Use precooked bacon slices found in the deli section of the supermarket. There's no need to cook; just chop and stir into the mixture.

Serve dip with soft breadsticks, cut-up bagels or fresh vegetables such as carrot sticks or cherry tomatoes.

We are testing dips for the holidays and this was recipe #2 so far.. My husband and son would rate this a 5..(DH has a horseradish fetish!) I am rating a 4.. To me it needed more bang...something that says "man..thats good".. I added parmesan cheese and garlic salt and pepper.. I definitely would not add the parsley next time..did not like the taste.. and i chopped really fine.. don't know.. but.. it is on the maybe list so far.. so many dips to try..

I have made this dip for football parties and also other friends and family gatherings and it is always a hit!! Very easy to make also. I think folks like the bread for a change instead of chips for dipping :)
