1: can Muir Glen® organic fire roasted tomatoes

: Garlic or red pepper infused olive oil

: Lots of fresh, shredded or shaved parmesan cheese

: Torn, fresh Genovese basil

: Tablespoon or so of minced garlic

: Salt, to taste

: Freshly cracked pepper, to taste

Save $$$ on your favorite brands

1 Stir ingredients together in a sauce pan over medium heat for a few minutes and voila – fresh pasta sauce.
2 Pour over cooked pasta of choice for instant, flavorful and light pasta toss.

I have made a variation of this dish for 20 years we call it veggie sketti... I add a can of mushrooms and some diced red or green peppers and onions(quantity or inclusion not set which makes this a great what the heck can I make fast for dinner recipe) which I saute in olive oil for a couple of minutes before I add the can of tomatoes ...it is quick easy and great when you forgot thaw something for dinner. It is a good meatless meal when you have a tight budget ...kids love it
