Editorial Manager, Laurie Borgen, shares a recipe. "I love this sauce because it is so flavorful, without any added sugar that so many jarred pasta sauces contain, and it is a dish made with love. In Italy, basil is a considered a sign of love."

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
    - Fresh herbs can be expensive in the grocery store…but they can be easily grown on a kitchen windowsill all year long in nice climates, or in a small pot outside in summer, then frozen for year round use. Freezing herbs is the best way to preserve flavor and nutrients.
