Grilled Bruschetta

cup olive or vegetable oil

tablespoons chopped fresh or 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves

cloves garlic, finely chopped

1

baguette (1 lb), cut diagonally into 1-inch slices

Sliced plum (Roma) tomatoes, if desired

• 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In small bowl, mix oil, basil and garlic. Brush or drizzle oil mixture on cut sides of bread.
• 2 Carefully brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Place bread on grill over medium heat. Cook uncovered 4 to 6 minutes, turning once, until golden brown. Top with tomatoes.
