We're taking your favorite tequila cocktail up a notch with zingy cranberry! These Cranberry-Lime Margaritas will cool you off on a hot day and bring some refreshing flavor to a meal. This recipe is perfect for a party too, because it makes plenty of cranberry ritas for everyone!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 1/2 cups tequila
  • 1/2 cup orange-flavored liqueur
  • 1 bottle (64 oz) cranberry juice cocktail (8 cups)
  • Lime wedges
  • Coarse (kosher or sea) salt
  • Crushed ice
  • Additional lime wedges, if desired

    In 1-quart saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Pour into large heatproof pitcher. Cover; refrigerate 20 minutes.

    Add lime juice, tequila, liqueur and cranberry juice cocktail to sugar syrup in pitcher; mix well. Refrigerate until serving time.

    Rub rims of margarita or lowball glasses with lime wedges, then dip rims in salt. Fill glasses with crushed ice; pour margarita mixture over ice. Garnish with lime wedges.
