cups uncooked rotini pasta (5 ounces)
1
package (6 ounces) frozen snow (Chinese) pea pods, thawed and drained
1/3
cup reduced-calorie mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4
cup fat-free French dressing

cups cut-up cooked chicken or turkey
1
cup cherry tomato, cut in half
  • 1 Cook pasta as directed on package--except add pea pods for last 2 minutes of cooking; drain. Rinse with cold water; drain.
  • 2 Mix mayonnaise and French dressing in large bowl. Add pasta, pea pods, chicken and tomatoes; toss.

Expert Tips

Go ahead and use any salad dressing you have on hand--Italian, Caesar or ranch will really go well with this simple chicken salad.

This is a great recipe for using up leftover chicken or turkey. If you don't have any on hand, just grab a rotisserie-cooked chicken from the deli.

i''m a bachelor and didn''t have the french dressing so i tried it with italian dressing and its very good. either way you go i think you will like this recipe.
