Expert Tips

The frosting can be colored using either liquid or paste food colors, but the paste will result in colors that are more intense.

For Fast Track Snack Squares, make as directed except do not cut into shapes. After pressing cereal mixture in pan, melt 1/4 cup butter and 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups) in microwavable bowl uncovered on High 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds. Spread evenly over cereal mixture. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours or until set. Cut into 24 squares.

I made these for fourth of july and to me they were just ok but everyone seemed to like them. They were really hard to cut into shapes but especaily hard to to smooth out in the pan. overall they wre pretty good.
