Ingredients

cups all-purpose flour

teaspoons baking powder

teaspoon salt

teaspoon baking soda

teaspoon ground mustard

medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
1/3
cup shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)

cup buttermilk

tablespoons canola or vegetable oil

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 450°. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and mustard in medium bowl. Stir in onions and cheese.
  • 2 Mix buttermilk and oil; stir into flour mixture until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 8 spoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
  • 3 Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

I am a person who tries to cut calories and fat where ever I can but I have to say that this recipe is tasteless. I cannot taste the onion, or cheese and the biscuit portion of it has no flaver. More salt, cheese and a little more green onion (my personal preference) is needed.
