Slow-Cooker Cranberry Baked Apples

Ingredients

  • 4 large cooking apples
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup cranberry-apple drink
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Chopped nuts, if desired

Instructions

    Core apples. Fill centers of apples with brown sugar and cranberries. Place apples in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker.

    In small bowl, mix cranberry-apple drink and butter; pour over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours.

    To serve, spoon apples into dessert dishes. Spoon sauce over apples. Sprinkle with nuts.
