  • 1
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray or shortening.
  • 2
Make batter as directed on brownie mix box. Spread in pan. Bake 13 minutes.
  • 3
Sprinkle candies over partially baked brownie. Bake 11 to 13 minutes longer or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour. For brownies, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store covered at room temperature.

Expert Tips

  • The easiest way to get brownie out of the pan is to line it with aluminum foil before baking. Here’s the slickest way to do that: flip your pan over, mold your foil around the bottom of the pan and set aside. Now, flip your pan over and insert the pre-formed piece of foil. It’ll fit perfectly!
  • For an extra indulgent twist on this recipe, wait to apply your M&M’s™ until after you’ve frosted brownies with a thick layer of rich and creamy chocolate frosting!
