Ingredients

  • 2 large apples, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 1/2-pound salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps

  • 1
Heat oven to 400°. Mix apples and onion in ungreased rectangular baking dish, 11x7x1 1/2 inches. Place fish, skin side down, on apple mixture. Mix mustard, honey and garlic salt. Spoon onto fish; spread evenly.
  • 2
Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork. Serve apple mixture with fish.

  • Apples are ideal snacks. One medium apple contains about 80 calories and, if you eat the peel, you'll get nearly 4 grams of fiber, compared to a peeled medium apple, which contains about 2 grams of fiber.
