cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

lean bone-in pork loin chops, about 1/2 inch thick (about 1 1/4 pounds)

cup vegetable oil

medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)

tablespoon Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

cups half-and-half
1/4
cup Betty Crocker® Bac~Os® bacon flavor bits
  • 1 In shallow dish, stir together 1/3 cup flour, the salt and pepper. Coat pork chops with flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  • 2 In 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook pork chops in oil about 10 minutes, turning once, until brown. Remove from skillet.
  • 3 Stir onion into drippings in skillet. Cook about 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until softened. Stir in 1 tablespoon flour. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in half-and-half and bacon bits.
  • 4 Return pork chops to skillet. Cover and cook over medium-low heat about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pork is no longer pink in center.

made this tonight for the family. read the reviews first and used seasoned salt and real bacon. turned out good. kids liked it, could have had a bit more flavor for me. served it with some mashed potatoes and green beans. will make it again and will try to think of something to add a bit of flavor to the gravy.

I made this for dinner this evening. It was pretty good. My husband said is was good so it must have turned out alright. I used seasoned salt instead of regular salt to add more flavor and I fried bacon and chopped it up into little bits rather than using bacon bits.

Just made this for dinner....we did not like it at all.The white sauce was very thick and not "sauce like" at all.The meat was very dry.i had to cover mine in BBQ sauce just so i could eat it.Neither one of us could even finish it.WILL NOT MAKE THIS AGAIN.
