How to Make Strawberry Frosted Layer Cake Video

Serve up a slice of summer with this stunning cake featuring fresh strawberries and a lovely coating of strawberry buttercream frosting. Despite its impressive look, this cake is surprisingly simple—thanks to your box of Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ white cake mix. It’s also the perfect make-ahead dessert, as it requires at least an hour of cooling, prior to serving. If a layer cake seems like an intimidating project, check out our article on How to Frost a Layer Cake. Here’s another trick, if you can only fit two cake pans in the oven at once, refrigerate the third pan of batter while the others bake. Then, bake the remaining layer separately. Be sure to let all three layers cool completely before frosting. This will help prevent your frosting from melting into the cake. If you have leftovers—don’t count on it, but one can hope!—store them loosely covered in the fridge.
