Family Night In: Build a Totino’s Tower

By Yvette Marquez

Perfect for a kids’ party or sleepover, this “tower of pizza” and is sure to delight.

Family Night In: Build a Totino's Tower

This kid-friendly “croque en bouche”—a towering pyramid of Totino’s Pizza Rolls is fun, quick and delicious. My two kiddos and niece had a blast assembling it together and are already planning our next excuse to build a tower!

My son and niece are close to five years old, so it was a bit of a challenge pushing in the toothpicks with the thimble, but overall this project was simple to make. We enjoyed it with a Caprese side salad drizzled with balsamic vinegar, Easy Tomato Pizza Sauce for dipping and chocolate milk to drink.

Here’s how to make this “tower of pizza!” First, assemble your supplies: wax paper, one 12-inch Styrofoam cone, toothpicks, scotch tape and some thimbles.

items to build tower

Start with a Styrofoam cone that you can purchase at a craft store and cover it with wax paper. Tape the wax paper around the Styrofoam cone so that you can keep your pizza rolls clean.

Grab a couple bags of your favorite Totino’s Pizza Rolls.

Once the pizza rolls are baked let them cool.

Insert a toothpick through the pizza roll and with a thimble push the toothpick through.

Continue to build the tower. We realized it was easier to insert the toothpicks and then push them in at the end.

Voila! The tower of pizza rolls is complete.

To cover up the spaces we inserted fresh basil leaves from the garden.

To finish it off, we topped the tower with a homemade Italian flag my ten-year-old daughter made.
