As you know, I love making snack mixes in my slow cooker. The method is a cinch, especially when making big batches of snacks. Just in time for the holidays, I’m excited to share this recipe for Slow-Cooker Spiced Nuts. Whether you are attending or hosting a holiday party, this sweet treat belongs on your must-make list. It’s a total crowd-pleaser!

In a large bowl, mix together sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon, then set aside.

In a separate, bowl whisk together egg whites and vanilla until it becomes frothy.

Place nuts in a 4-5 quart slow-cooker, prepared with cooking spray.

Pour egg white mixture over nuts and stir they’re evenly coated.

Next, sprinkle cinnamon sugar over nuts, and stir again until well-coated with sugar. Cook covered on low for 3 hours, stirring every 20 minutes.

When 20 minutes are left, pour 1/4 cup of water into the slow cooker and stir once more. This will make the outer shell of the nuts nice and crunchy. When 20 minutes have passed, spread the nuts out in an even layer on a cookie sheet to cool.
