Ingredients

Steps

  • 1
Heat waffle iron; grease with cooking spray, vegetable oil or shortening.
  • 2
Stir ingredients until blended. Pour onto center of hot waffle iron. Close lid of waffle iron.
  • 3
Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
For a cool, refreshing breakfast, skip the butter and top the waffles with fresh fruit and vanilla yogurt.
  • tip 2
Make it fun by topping with slightly sweetened fresh fruit and vanilla yogurt.
  • tip 3
One minor problem with cooking waffles is that waffle irons vary in size and shape, making it impossible to give an exact yield. Generally, 1/2 to 3/4 cup of batter will make one waffle.
  • tip 4
Toasted nuts give these waffles a delicious crunch. To toast nuts, bake uncovered in an ungreased shallow pan in a 350°F oven about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
