Expert Tips

For a cool, refreshing breakfast, skip the butter and top the waffles with fresh fruit and vanilla yogurt.

Make it fun by topping with slightly sweetened fresh fruit and vanilla yogurt.

One minor problem with cooking waffles is that waffle irons vary in size and shape, making it impossible to give an exact yield. Generally, 1/2 to 3/4 cup of batter will make one waffle.

Toasted nuts give these waffles a delicious crunch. To toast nuts, bake uncovered in an ungreased shallow pan in a 350°F oven about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.

This recipe is delicious! I even added a 1/4 Cup oats to create more of a whole grain recipe. I have tried many "healthy" wheat waffle recipes and found they tasted awful. This bisquick recipe is a keeper!
