The 4th of July is always full of fun meals and get-togethers. Family picnics, barbecues and buffets are just some of the many ways people celebrate the holiday. How about starting your day with a bang by making festive red, white and blue pancakes? Using our easy pancake recipe, it’s simple to bring the colors of America to your breakfast table.

First, mix up our Easy Pancakes recipe using Bisquick® mix. Divide the batter equally into two bowls.

Using gel red and blue food coloring, mix until you get the desired color. Be sure to carefully fold in the color so you don’t break up the air bubbles in the batter.

For each pancake, pour slightly less than 1/4 cup of batter onto a hot griddle, making sure to keep an eye on them as they cook. When the edges are dry, flip the pancakes.

Stack your pancakes on a plate, alternating the colors with a dollop or squirt of whipped cream. Top with blueberries and strawberries. Now you have an Independence Day breakfast sure to disappear in a flash!
