Our root beer and rum concoction is topped with toasted marshmallows for a fun Halloween cocktail!

  • 1 cup spiced rum
  • 4 cups root beer, chilled
  • 12 to 16 large marshmallows

    In each of 4 glasses, pour 1/4 cup rum. Fill each with cold root beer.

    Garnish top of each glass with marshmallows. Using kitchen torch, lightly toast tops of marshmallows. Serve with straws.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
    Instead of using a kitchen torch to toast the tops of the marshmallows, carefully toast the marshmallows separately (not in the glass) under a broiler for about 1 minute. However, be sure to watch closely as they will toast quickly.

    Replace spiced rum with gold or dark rum, if desired.
