Ingredients

  • 1 container (6 oz) Greek plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup coarsely shredded unpeeled cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh mint
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut 1 inch thick and trimmed of fat
  • 1/2 teaspoon Greek seasoning

Steps

  • 1
For sauce: In a small bowl, combine yogurt, cucumber, red onion, mint, sugar, salt, and pepper; set aside.
  • 2
Sprinkle steak with Greek seasoning. For a charcoal grill, place steak on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals. Grill until desired doneness, turning once halfway through grilling. Allow 15 to 17 minutes for medium-rare doneness (145°F) or 20 to 22 minutes for medium doneness (160°F). (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Place steak on grill rack over heat. Cover and grill as above.)
  • 3
Thinly slice steak across the grain. Serve sliced steak with sauce.
