Set oven control to broil. Broil with tops of toast 3 to 5 inches from heat 2 to 3 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
  • 6
Fry remaining eggs in a skillet to desired doneness, and serve on top of French toast with maple syrup.

Expert Tips

  • This recipe can easily be scaled up or down, depending on the number of people you need to serve.
  • If desired, this recipe can also be prepared on the stovetop. Dip the stuffed bread into the egg mixture, and then fry in a greased skillet over medium-high heat, 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Top with more cheese and a fried egg just before serving.
