Ingredients

lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 1/2
tablespoons French onion soup mix (dry)
8
mini burger buns (about 2 1/2 inches in diameter), split
2
cups creamy coleslaw (from deli)
Barbecue sauce

    Heat gas or charcoal grill. In medium bowl, mix ground beef and dry soup mix. Shape into 8 equal patties.

    Place patties in grill basket; place on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160ºF.
  • 3
    Place patties on bottom halves of buns. Top each immediately with 1/4 cup coleslaw and spoonful of barbecue sauce. Cover with top halves of buns.

Expert Tips

  • If you don’t have French onion soup mix on hand, dried minced onions will work as well.
  • Any kind of barbecue sauce works great, so experiment with your favorite flavors!
