DIY Ranch Dressing

Put that bottled dressing back on the shelf. Fresh herbs and tangy buttermilk mix together in just 10 minutes to make a dressing that will add zing to all your salads and vegetable plates.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
  • 6 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup buttermilk

Steps

  • 1
    In medium bowl, stir together sour cream, mayonnaise, parsley, chives and garlic paste. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

    Add 1/3 cup buttermilk. If mixture is too thick, add more buttermilk 1 tablespoon at a time until desired thickness.

    Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving to blend flavors.
