Ingredients

  • 1 cup olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup white or cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Steps

  • 1
In tightly covered container, shake all ingredients. Shake before serving. Store tightly covered in refrigerator.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
Mix 1/2 cup Classic French Dressing and 1/2 cup ketchup.
  • tip 2
One fresh lemon yields about 2 to 3 tablespoons of juice. Room-temperature lemons (and limes) yield more juice. Before squeezing, roll the lemon back and forth on the counter several times with firm pressure, which helps to burst the cells holding the juice. Or try zapping whole lemons from the refrigerator in the microwave on High for about 20 seconds or so to warm them up.
