Prep Instructions

YOU WILL NEED
2 CUPS HOT WATER
1/2 TSP SALT
2 TBSP BUTTER
1 LB LEAN GROUND BEEF OR GROUND TURKEY
OR
1 LB GROUND SAUSAGE
FOR TOPPING
2/3 CUP MILK
1. COOK
Cook ground meat in 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes, breaking up and stirring. Drain; return cooked meat to skillet. Stir in hot water, salt and butter. Gently stir in Potatoes. Heat to boiling over high heat, stirring gently, until butter is melted.
2. COVER
Reduce heat to medium. Spread mixture evenly; press firmly. Cover; cook 10 minutes, without stirring. Uncover and continue to cook until liquid is absorbed and bottom is golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes.
While potatoes are cooking, stir milk and Topping Mix in bowl with whisk or fork. Set aside to thicken.
3. TURN
Turn potato mixture over in sections. Spread evenly; press firmly. Increase heat to medium-high. Cook 2 to 4 minutes or until bottom is golden brown.
4. TOP
Remove from heat. Add topping.
