Parchment paper in cake pans makes cleanup a breeze. For a round cake pan, cut a round that fits the bottom of the pan or purchase specially cut parchment paper pieces. For other size pans, cut the shape that fits the bottom of the pan only. You might like to put a tiny bit of butter on the bottom of the pan to make the paper stick so it doesn't slide while adding the batter.
