1: box (1 lb 2.4 oz) Betty Crocker® Original Supreme Premium brownie mix

: Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box

1/3: cup Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy creamy white or vanilla frosting (from 16 oz container)

1: to 2 tablespoons Betty Crocker® star decors

Save $$$ on your favorite brands

1 Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease bottom only of 8-inch or 9-inch square pan with cooking spray or shortening. (For easier cutting, line pan with foil, then grease foil on bottom only of pan.) Make and bake brownies as directed on box. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
2 In small microwavable bowl, microwave frosting uncovered on High about 10 to 15 seconds or until drizzling consistency. Drizzle frosting over brownies; sprinkle with star decors. For brownies, cut with plastic knife into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store covered at room temperature.

I'm sure these brownies are great BUT I even have a better one yet. Use 2 boxes of BC brownie mix and bake in an 11 X 13 pan. Mix as indicated on box. Bake for 20-22 minutes. (my pan is porcelain coated, brownies are excellent every time - glass pan takes a little longer to bake) Crumble 6-8 oreos to your mix and bake OR Make brownies as directed, cool, frost with white or choc frosting. THEN sprinkle crumbled oreos on top of frosting. Use lots of oreos or just enough that every bit you can find an oreo. IT'S A GREAT BIG HIT EVERY TIME. Sorry, I can't take credit for the idea - look for the receipe on the back of the box "Cookies 'n Creme Brownies". It calls for chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs but I changed it to oreos. My friend calls them DEATH BY CHOCOLATE when I use choc frosting. Now my church calls them Death By Chocolate.

I made this for our 4th of July BBQ,but instead of the vanilla frosting, which I didn't have...I used Bettey Crocker Cream Cheese frosting. I only put the frosting in the microwave for about 10 seconds to be able to drizzle it over the brownies. Mmmmmm! It tasted great and there were no leftovers. I was able to find the star candies at Party City in their cake decorating aisle. Only thing is,there were no white stars in the container, only red, blue, green and yellow stars. It still turned out great with just the red and blue stars. Very tasty
