Halloween Lunches Your Kids Will Love

Created January 10, 2017
With a little help from Monster Cereals and “Frozen”-themed Yoplait® yogurt, these creative Halloween combos will be the talk of the lunchroom.

Adding Halloween flair to your kids’ brown bags is easier than ever with a few simple twists to lunchtime staples. In our first lunchbox, we took a classic flour tortilla and a white cheddar cheese slice, and cut them into the shape of a ghost—adding bits of black olives to make the eyes and mouth. Then we tucked in a Yoplait “Frozen”-themed yogurt cup, a few Ritz crackers, and a peeled clementine-tuned-pumpkin with a sliver of celery for the stem. Finally, since Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without the candy, we included Betty’s October Dessert of the Month, Reese’s™ Pieces™ Halloween Cookie Bars, customized for little hands by baking in a mini muffin tin.

For our second Halloween lunchbox, we started with a Crescent Mummy Dog for the main course (it’s a must!), and added Betty Crocker’s Candy Shop candy eyeballs for an extra googly look. A jack-o’-lantern drawn on a fruit cup plus a handful of grapes make for a smart fruit addition. For the final spooky touch, we included our favorite sweet-meets-salty treat, Monster Cereal Popcorn Balls. We used each kind of the cereal in these, so Boo Berry, Count Chocula and Franken Berry will be at the lunch table, too. How spooktacular is that?
