Eggnog Cookie Bars

If eggnog is your favorite holiday drink, it’s about to become your favorite dessert, too! Britney Brown-Chamberlain has transformed a beloved holiday beverage into a deliciously festive dessert with her creative twist on Betty’s Gingerbread Cookie Bars. Her Eggnog Cookie Bars with creamy spiced frosting let you savor the joy of the holidays with every bite.

Starting with Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix, Britney loads her velvety recipe with the wonderful and warming spices of eggnog. The aromatic cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves blend with the sweet sugar cookie flavor in these bars, which bake up to a soft, crumbly, craveable texture.

To top her bars with even more holiday cheer, Britney adds the same mix of traditional eggnog spices to Betty Crocker™ Vanilla Rich & Creamy Frosting and decorates them with irresistibly sweet sprinkles.

Add Britney’s Eggnog Cookie Bars to your holiday dessert tray and watch them disappear faster than Santa down a chimney! And don’t forget to check out what our other Makers are baking this month.

Britney’s Tips

  • Be careful not to overbake your Eggnog Cookie Bars. In this particular recipe, the texture will be cakey like a traditional bar, as opposed to chewy like a typical cookie.
  • Mix until the ingredients are just incorporated. The batter will have a thicker consistency, which is what gives these bars their delightfully chewy texture.
  • It’s all about the spice! Adding a mixture of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to both the frosting and the batter itself helps maximize the eggnog flavor.
