By now you know that Betty had a radio show, a state-of-the-art cooking facility—which still exists, in all its modern glory!—and of course a bevy of cookbooks. But did you know there was also a Betty Crocker lifestyle magazine? Sphere debuted in 1972, with this issue, featuring how to have an “un-primitive picnic.” (Now in 2013, of course, we know picnics come in all styles and sizes, and Betty always has you covered on what to pack!)
