Reese’s™ Pieces™ Halloween Cookie Bars

Make Halloween extra sweet this year with our October dessert of the month: Reese’s™ Pieces™ Halloween Cookie Bars! Even though the spookiest night of the year can also be one of the most hectic, these easy-to-make bars won’t add any stress to your schedule. Just 15 minutes to prep, pop them in the oven, and you’ll have a batch of googly-eyed, peanut-buttery bars that everyone will love.

What you’ll need:

How to:

1.  Heat your oven to 350°F. Spray the bottom and sides of a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.

2.  In a large bowl, mix together the cookie mix, oil, water and egg with a spoon until a soft dough forms. Next, stir in 1/2 cup of the Reese’s™ Pieces™ peanut butter candy and the peanut butter chips (or chocolate chips, for a chocolate-peanut butter twist!). Once the dough is formed, press it into the bottom of your pan. Sprinkle on the remaining 1/4 cup Reese’s™ Pieces™ peanut butter candy and randomly place the candy eyeballs, pressing them slightly into the dough.

3.  Transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 16 to 20 minutes, or until the bars are light golden brown. Set the pan on a cooling rack and cool completely—about 1 hour. Cut the bars into 6 rows by 4 rows and serve. Store any remaining bars in an airtight container.

Expert tip: Our favorite trick for cutting bars easily is to line the pan with heavy-duty or nonstick foil, leaving a bit of overhang at the sides. When you’re ready to cut your baked bars, use the foil to lift them out of the pan and onto your cutting surface. The foil lining also makes clean-up a snap!
