Already a fan of classic biscuits and gravy? Then you’ll love this twist on an old favorite!
Easy Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast Rolls

My dad makes some of the best biscuits and gravy using Bisquick® as his base. It was a special treat growing up on Saturday mornings to hear the sizzle of sausage in the pan and smell the aroma of fresh biscuits baking in the oven. Taking a cue from those fond memories of my childhood, I made my own version of the classic breakfast but with a twist. I made them as breakfast rolls. Because they’re so easy to put together, they can quickly become a new Saturday morning treat in your home just as they are in mine.

To make the biscuits and gravy rolls, you’ll need Bisquick, milk, sugar and cooked and crumbled pork sausage.

Stir together the Bisquick, milk and sugar in a bowl, then turn out onto a countertop and knead into a smooth dough.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle and top with the pork sausage. Roll up the dough tightly from the long end, then slice the dough into rolls. Place each roll in a prepared baking pan. Bake the rolls until they’re golden brown.

Meanwhile, make the gravy. Use the extra pork sausage drippings for the gravy, or use butter. Whisk the ingredients for the gravy together until thickened on the stovetop.

When the rolls are done, serve with the gravy and a dash of salt and pepper on top. That’s all it takes to make a hearty, savory breakfast in roll form!
