What’s better than a chewy marshmallow cereal treat? You might be thinking, “not much, Cindy,” but this version using crunchy Corn Chex, white chocolate and freeze-dried berries in patriotic hues might convince you that there’s always room to improve.

These treats follow this classic recipe—buttery marshmallow holding together crisp cereal—with the added richness of white chocolate and bright pops of berry flavor that offset the sweetness perfectly. Bonus, these are the perfect 4th of July treat with a charming red, white, and blue color scheme.

We start with the basic cereal treat ingredients, plus a few fun mix-ins—you’ll find the exact list of ingredients in the recipe below!

Marshmallows and butter get melted together. I like mini mallows since they melt a bit quicker than their larger cousins.

Then, we mix in the cereal and berries, followed by some white chocolate chips. Check out those vibrant colors!

The whole (delicious) mess gets pressed into a prepped pan, topped with more berries, and drizzled with some white chocolate shell. So pretty and festive!

The toughest part is waiting for these guys to set up. But, once they do, it’s time to cut and serve!
