This Mother’s Day make Mom something sweet for breakfast, like these easy chocolate chip pancakes. We’ll show you how to make Mom a candied pancake stack in just 10 simple steps.
mix, eggs and milk on table

To get started, grab a medium mixing bowl and a wire whisk. Next, gather your ingredients, including …

mix in a pan

2 cups of Bisquick® Original Baking Mix

2 eggs

2 large eggs

1 cup of milk

1 cup of milk

chocolate chips in measuring cup

And ½ a cup of miniature chocolate chips. (Did you know that there are nearly 800 mini chocolate chips in ½ a cup?)

mix with eggs and milk in bowl

Next, add the Bisquick mix, eggs and milk into the bowl, stir until combined making sure to not over mix the pancake batter.

Once the pancake batter has been combined, gently whisk in ½ a cup of miniature chocolate chips and let the pancake batter rest for about 10 minutes. (Resting the batter makes the pancakes extra fluffy.)

mix next to griddle

While the batter is resting, turn your griddle on, setting it to medium heat. Don’t have a pancake griddle? Use your stovetop instead and heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Test your griddle’s surface with a sprinkle of water. (If the water beads up your griddle is ready to cook the pancakes.) Using ¼ cup, ladle the pancake batter onto the hot griddle.

flipped cakes

Cook for 5 minutes or until bubbles begin to form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.

Remove pancakes from the griddle and serve immediately with a healthy serving of butter, syrup, and chocolate chips. (Go for it and really capture Mom’s heart with a handmade Mother’s Day card.)
