Snackspiration: Tiny Indulgences

Before you take down that king-size candy bar, consider one of these bite-sized sweets, designed to hit the sweet spot without the lingering guilt.

Truffle Popcorn: Up the indulgence factor on ordinary popcorn with one simple ingredient! Melting 2 ounces of truffle butter (found at upscale grocers) and tossing with a bag of unbuttered microwave popcorn will change the way you look at popcorn forever, guaranteed.

Kiss Pies: These are officially the cutest (and teeniest!) pies ever. To make, start with purchased piecrust and preheat your oven to 350°. Next, cut 3.5-inch squares out of the dough, place a Hershey’s Kiss in the middle of each and pinch corners to close. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until pies are golden in color. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if you’re feeling extra fancy.

Berries & Whipped Cream: When your basic handful of blueberries won’t cut it, satisfy your snack-time cravings with a bowl of mixed berries and fresh whipped cream. P.S.: Did you know you can make your own by putting cold cream in a jar with a tight seal and shaking for 3 to 5 minutes? Brilliant, right?

Pretzel Poppers: A little chocolate-y, a little salty and the perfect amount of sweet, these easy-to-make treats are as easy as melting Rolo candies over small pretzels in an oven pre-heated to 350° for 3 minutes (keep a close eye!) and topping with a plain M&M.

Chocolate Banana Bites:
With chocolate and bananas, this frozen treat is the best of both worlds! The sliced bananas make it fruitful and the melted chocolate-chip coating makes it indulgent. Win-win.

Boston Cream Pie Yogurt:
If there is a smarter way to indulge the need for Boston cream pie, we don’t know what it is. Thanks, Yoplait! And did we mention it’s now made with 25 percent less sugar?
