Snackspiration: Backseat Snacks

Created January 10, 2017
Whether it’s just across town or all the way across the country, these are the snacks we keep on hand to keep the whole gang happy.
snackspiration: backseat snacks

Raisins: Kids love them because they taste like candy, we love them because with their cute and tiny boxes, we can toss them anywhere—gym bags, glove boxes, brief cases, you name it. Bonus: they don’t melt, stain or make a mess when spilled!

Carrots & Peanut Butter: We’re suckers for the convenient, mess-free packaging of these little peanut butter cups. Pairing them with carrots keeps kiddos busy dipping and happy snacking for miles and miles.

Honey Nut Cheerios: The quintessential back-seat snack for little fingers! Each little “o” is made with whole grains and low in fat, plus, Cheerios provides 12 essential vitamins and minerals. That’s something that everyone can smile about!

Cheddar Cheese Sticks: Another backseat classic, these calcium-packed, single-wrapped snacks are a favorite for good reason. Doesn’t hurt that they’re fun to eat, too.

Pretzels: Whether you dip them, add them to a trail mix or eat them on their own, these salty, crunchy knots deserve to be a part of your snacking stash.

Sugar Snap Peas: The perfect vehicle for any number of dips, from ranch to peanut butter, these fresh veggies have earned backseat snack status in our book.

Fruit-Flavored Snacks: When backseat boredom creeps in, it’s Thomas and friends to the rescue! Plus, as an excellent source of vitamin C, it’s a snack you can feel good about, too.

Protein Granola Bar: With 10 grams of protein in each bar, Nature Valley Coconut Almond Protein Chewy Bars give you the energy to keep going and going.

Blueberries: If we had to pick a favorite berry for the backseat, it’d be these! They’re perfect for small hands, don’t require cutting and there’s no stems to speak of.

Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies: These yummy little snacks are ideal for toddler-sized hands, but their crispy crunch and real cheesy flavor know how to tempt snackers of all ages.
