Snackspiration: Apple Cinnamon

Created January 10, 2017
You’ll never believe how many delicious ways we’re working this classic flavor combo into snack time. Hello, 50-calorie apple yogurt and cinnamon coffee cake bites!
snackspiration: apple cinnamon

Apple Cinnamon Cheerios: Flavored with apple puree and a daring amount of cinnamon, these Cheerios and their whole grain goodness make for a quick and easy snack with or without a bowl, milk and spoon.

Gluten-Free Oatmeal: Who says oatmeal is only for breakfast? It’s also a warm snack ready in a snap! Our favorite, Gluten Free Chex™ Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal, is made with simple ingredients, like—you guessed it—chunks of real apple and delicious cinnamon.

Cheat’s Apple Pie: Apple pie hunger is real. When it strikes near snack time, here’s what to do. Start with an apple cut it into tiny chunks, mix with ½ tsp. sugar, ½ tsp. brown sugar and ¼ tsp. cinnamon and microwave in a bowl for one minute. Next, grab a graham cracker, add a smear of light cream cheese and top with the apple mixture. Ta-da! The next best thing to apple pie, and in a fraction of the time.

Applesauce & Cinnamon: There’s no shame in the store-bought applesauce game. Feeling fancy? Add a sprinkle of cinnamon like we did, or honey, or brown sugar—anything goes!

Yogurt Dessert Spoons: Elegant enough for a dinner party, but easy enough for a snack, these 50-calorie apple yogurt and cinnamon coffee cake bites are made with just three ingredients: a Granny Smith apple, Fiber One™ 90 calorie cinnamon coffee cake bars and Yoplait® Greek 100 apple pie yogurt.

Cinnamon Apple Yogurt Bites: When we came across these easy yogurt treats, it was love at first bite! Simply combine 1 chopped jazz apple, 1 cup Yoplait Vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp. honey, 1 tsp. cinnamon in a blunder and then freeze overnight in cute molds. We’re hooked!

Apple Pizza Slices: Take apple slices to a whole new level. To start, cut 1-inch thick horizontal slices from the apple of your choice. Next, top with your favorite nut butter. Lastly, sprinkle on extra flavor with mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, sliced almonds and a sprinkle of cinnamon for the finishing touch!

Cinnamon Sugar Apple Chips: These addictive chips are among our favorite ways to get a cinnamon and apple fix. To make, simply core and thinly slice 2 apples (we like Golden Delicious and Granny Smith), combine 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1 ½ tsp. sugar, sprinkle over the slices and bake at 225° F for 45 minutes to an hour.

Apple Pie Fruit & Nut Bar: Not too sweet, and spiced with cinnamon and raisins just like Grandma's, this less-than-200-calorie Apple Pie LARABAR contains a quarter cup of fruit and 5 grams of fiber. How’s that for a snack you can feel good about?
