Apple and Pear, an Outstanding Fall Flavor Combo

Apple and Pear Fall Combo
Bring the flavors of fall into your kitchen with apple and pear treats.

There is no season quite like fall for baking. I can’t get enough of it. Just ask my husband – from September through November our fridge is usually full of every type of baked good you can imagine.

One of my favorite flavors of fall is the classic pairing of apple and pear. Both fruits are at their peak this time of year, tasting just as amazing in pastries as they do on their own. For the purpose of baking, I like to stick with my favorite oven-friendly fruit varieties: Bosc and Anjou pears, Granny Smith and Pink Lady apples. They hold their own in terms of flavor when combined with heavier ingredients like sugar, butter, cream and caramel.

Apple and Pear Scones and Danish

So let’s get to the good stuff! Get the most out of this classic fall flavor combo with these Apple & Pear Salted Caramel Scone and Apple & Pear Cream Cheese Danish recipes. Not only are they a cinch to make, thanks to Bisquick®, but they taste out-of-this-world, I-need-to-have-one-more good! Making both of these recipes is one of the best ways to get your apple and pear flavor fix for the fall season. Happy baking!
