One Pot Cheesy Tortellini and Sausage

Even if you can’t fly off to Italy right now, your taste buds sure can with this delicious tortellini recipe. All you need are a few simple ingredients and one pot to put a crowd-pleasing Italian dinner on the table in just 30 minutes! Don’t believe me? Give it a try—here’s how to make it, step by step.

First, gather your ingredients. You will need cooked pork sausage, refrigerated cheese tortellini, Muir Glen organic tomato basil pasta sauce, Muir Glen organic diced tomatoes, some chicken broth, mozzarella cheese, garlic, onion and fresh basil leaves.

In a 12-inch skillet, cook sliced sausage, garlic and onion together for 5 to 7 minutes or until the onion softens and sausage starts to brown.

Next, stir in marinara sauce, tomatoes, chicken broth and tortellini.

Stir until well-combined, then cover and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the tortellini is cooked. Make sure to stir the mixture a few times while it’s cooking.

Remove the skillet from the heat and finish the dish off with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and freshly chopped basil leaves. Serve as soon as the cheese has melted.
