Red velvet is my favorite cake on the planet. It’s my birthday cake of choice. Every. Single. Year. (I told you I love it.) Until recently, I only indulged in the cake once a year for that special occasion. Until I had a revelation of making Red Velvet Cake Cookies. My life is much sweeter because of it. No longer do I have to wait until my birthday to enjoy this rich, deep, decadent dessert.

The best part is that these cookies come together in a snap. There’s hardly any wait time for them to cool. If you’re impatient like me, there’s no wait time because I like the cookies warm and chewy straight off the baking sheet.

They’re vibrant red and taste just like the cake I adore. Plus, no fork is necessary! 

Cream cheese frosting is optional but recommended.
